MAY:

Year 7

Year 7 students start working in the "Identity and Belonging" project with the "Connecting Classrooms" programme by the British Council and Fundación Evolución.

 Exploring who we are

Monday May 6th………. DAY 1
- In ten seconds, students think of one to three words that best answer the question: Who are you?

- Students watch the video (Song: Who I am) and choose one character..


1) Who is he/she?
2) Why did you choose them?

-How would you be if you had been born somewhere else? Try...

1) imagine how different circumstances would influence on your identity.
2) imagine how your “connecting classrooms” partners are.





Year 6

* 6th form students prepare a song for their camp.
They watch a special version of the song and work with the map. Have a look!

Students find the cities on the map and work with distances in kilometres and miles. Here's Sol’s work:

b)      How many kilometres did they travel?
1- 3.049 kilometres (three thousand and forty-nine)
2 – 2.465 km (two thousand four hundred and sixty-five)

c)      Which other places did they visit?
Pisa (Italy), Santa Monica (California- USA), New Orleans (Luisana - USA), Toulouse (France), Rio de Janeiro(Brasil), Caracas (Venezuela), Barcelona (España), Umìazì (South Africa), Mamelodì (South Africa).


YEAR 5
